ABOUT ME

I am a former stressed out working Mum and foodie, turned yoga convert.  I am passionate about teaching others how to use yoga to keep healthy and active, helping us step away from our manic modern lifestyles and reconnect with who we are and the world we live in.  I qualified in the UK with SYTT in 2013, and beccame a Yoga Alliance RYT 500 teacher in 2019 after completing my Advanced Seasonal Yoga training.  I hold an ITEC Level 3 qualification in Sports and Remedial Massage and love how I am able to incorporate the knowledge I have gained through all my training and experience to offer a holistic approach to working with the body whether it is on the yoga mat or the massage table.

WHY I LOVE YOGA

After practising yoga on and off for 10 years, I found myself at a point in my life where I was juggling everything (badly) and had forgotten to take time to look after myself.  That’s when I went back to my yoga class and got properly hooked.  Since then, although much of my life has remained the same, everything has changed.  Yoga has given me a way to rediscover who I am and what really matters in life.

I spent 4 years living in the Middle East (2014-18), teaching both private and group lessons to Abu Dhabi residents.  This fantastic experience introduced me to many different people from around the world and also gave me the opportunity to travel and study with some amazing teachers, including; Santina Giardina-Chard, Tim Feldman, Kino McGregor, Annie Carpenter, Michel Besnard and Mark Robberds. I am currently based in the beautiful Stirlingshire countryside, just north of Glasgow and am delighted to be able to pass on some of the things I have learnt along the way to those living in my local community once more.

MLH Yoga stands for Mother's Little Helper, as for me yoga represents a much healthier form of self-medication for restoring a feeling of calm in my every day life.  It also happens to be my initials backwards! I look forward to practising with you.

Namaste.
